Is Britney Spears a single woman?
The pop princess posted a tweet about "the single life" on Thursday prompting speculation that she and boyfriend David Lucado may have called it quits. The couple began dating in the spring of 2013, shortly before Spears began work on her Las Vegas residency.

A rep for Spears confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the tweet was true -- the 32-year-old singer is, in fact, now single.
Just hours before the tweet, Spears shared this photo from Variety. In it, she appears to be wearing a silver band on that finger as she holds a microphone.

She also posted an Instagram video on what to do when you're having a "sh**ty day."

Spears opened up about her relationship in an interview with ET's Rob Marciano back in November.
"He's just a simple man. I adore him. He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about and it's contagious," she said of her lawyer beau at the time.
The "Work B**ch" singer confirmed that she met Lucado through friends, and that her father ran a background check before giving his blessing. "My dad's a little crazy like that," she quipped.
Looks like having a "crazy" dad may have paid off. ET has confirmed rumors that Locado was caught cheating on the pop star, and that papa Jamie Spears purchased the video evidence so that it would never see the light of day.
Spears has been married twice before -- both times in 2004. First, a quickie marriage in Las Vegas to childhood friend Jason Alexander that lasted only 55 hours, then with former backup dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons.
