Can Sam Smith just do all the covers from now on?

The "Stay" singer recently performed a gorgeous, acoustic rendition of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. We didn’t know it was possible to improve on the 1988 original, but leave it to Mr. Smith to completely nail it. Seriously, we can’t. stop. listening.

Earlier this summer, Smith got everyone's attention with his cover of Whitney Houston’s "How Will I Know." It takes a brave soul—man or woman—to cover Whitney, but the UK singer did not disappoint.

Kim Kardashian West (aka the queen of the selfie) also stopped by BBC’s Radio 1 breakfast show during her nearly-topless tour de UK and gave her professional opinion on Smith’s selfie-taking skills.

"His skin looks flawless, he's looking into the camera, I think people like to see what goes on in the background," she said, rating his snap as a 10.

Color us impressed—but we wonder what Riff Raff would have to say about Smith’s latest cover.
