The country star recently told his relationship haters to "get over it."
Jason Aldean is making an honest woman out of Brittany Kerr.
Two years after the country singer was photographed smooching Kerr in public (the problem: he was married to someone else at the time), Aldean is ready to make it official. The country star proposed to Kerr on Wednesday, his rep confirms to Entertainment Tonight.

The news comes about a week after Aldean boldly told his relationship haters to "get over it" in his Billboard magazine cover story.
"It has been two years of this sh*t – get over it, already!" he said. "And then when I finally do get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I'm not trying to get in the headlines -- I'm just trying to get people to stop running their mouths."

Aldean filed for divorce from his first wife, Jessica Ussery, with whom he has two daughters, in April of 2013. He made his first red carpet appearance with Kerr at the 2014 CMT Awards in June.
Though Kerr has yet to share any photos of her new sparkler, she did post this photo from the San Diego Zoo to Instagram on Wednesday with the caption, "My man did it again. Today was amazing."
Aldean's not the only country superstar to pop the question this week. In fact, he's not even the only star on his own tour to get engaged. Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard proposed to his girlfriend Hayley Stommel on Monday. FGL is currently opening for Aldean on the "Burn It Down" tour.
Sommel did share an image of her new diamond in this shot, taken as she and her future hubby were toasting to their engagement.
