Aretha Franklin Nails Adele Cover on 'Late Show' -- But What's Up with Cissy Houston?

Could backup singer Cissy Houston look any less thrilled? While Aretha Franklin was giving it her all on Monday's Late Show with David Letterman, Whitney Houston's 81-year-old mother--who was in Aretha's camera shot-- appeared to be bored with the whole performance.

That being said, if there was ever any doubt that the 72-year-old Queen of Soul couldn't pull off a cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," she put minds at ease with this riveting performance on the late-night CBS program --and then ended it by going into "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

Meanwhile, Cissy couldn't be bothered, and looked like she was stumbling over the lyrics a bit.
