Katy Perry Is the Super Bowl Halftime Performer

California girl Katy Perry is headed to Glendale, Arizona! According to multiple reports, the "Teenage Dream" singer has signed on to perform at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.
Back in August, it was reported that Perry, Rihanna and Coldplay were being considered to perform at halftime but the catch was that the NFL would be asking performers to "pay to play", citing that last year's Super Bowl -- when Bruno Mars performed -- drew over 111 million viewers.
This past Saturday, Perry appeared on ESPN's College Game Day, and responded to the rumors saying, "I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl."
No doubt Perry is a good choice, given her chart-topping, upbeat songs, eye-popping costume choices and loyal fan base.
The speculation can now begin as to which songs she'll perform on the big night. Maybe she'll do the whole show in that denim dress she wore to the VMAs this year!
What would you like to hear Perry sing at the halftime show? The Super Bowl XLIX takes place in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 1, 2015.
