You've never heard "Buy U a Drank" like this before! Turns out, this whole time, R&B singer T-Pain didn't even need auto-tune. The guy can sing!

T-Pain, whose legal name is Faheem Rasheed Najm, gave a mind-blowing performance on NPR Music's Tiny Desk without the help from his trusty voice-altering apparatus.

Before he began the intimate concert, the 29-year-old singer joked, "So, I know everyone is wondering where the auto-tune is gonna come from. It's okay, totally fine. I got it right here. It's all surgically inserted."

The auto-tune wasn't there as he started to beautifully sing "Buy U a Drink" au naturale, followed by "Up Down (Do This All Day)" and "Drankin Patna." Is T-Pain the next John Legend?

T-Pain was on the forefront of making auto-tune popular in pop and R&B music, but as his music was climbing the charts, he said his reputation as a singer got twisted. "People felt like I was using it to sound good," T-Pain told NPR's All Things Considered in an interview yet to be aired. "But I was just using it to sound different.”
