Between her acting and her music, we couldn’t love Lucy Hale any more if we tried!
ETonline sat down with the Pretty Little Liars star to chat about her music, her acting, and her red carpet style tips.
The 25-year-old wound up revealing that she hopes her song "Red Dress," which features Grammy nominated artist Joe Nichols, will be here next single following "Lie a Little Better" and "You Sound Good To Me."
"We did a duet called 'Red Dress' and I hope that might be the third single I'm hoping for really," Lucy said. "Hopefully. I just gave you some inside scoop."
Before the singer released her debut album, Road Between
, on June 3, she got the chance to work with some pretty great people in the country music industry including Sugarland’s Kristian Bush
"He was one of my biggest supporters from the beginning," she said, telling ETonline that the singer-songwriter was one of her biggest inspirations while recording her album. "He played some on my record and really shot it straight with me and was like, 'this is really tough, you're going to have days where you're going to want to pull your hair out, you're going to want to quit.'"
But he also told her that giving up wouldn’t be worth it in the end.
"Those days, those moments where it's amazing, it just totally makes it all worth it," she recalled about Kristian’s advice.
While Hale has been performing since she was a child (ahem, American Idol Juniors), there was one performance in particular that she found the most nerve racking: her Grand Ole Opry debut in June.
"They were so kind there, so sweet," she said, "and it ended up becoming one of my favorite performances."
The Tennessee native says music is her heart and soul, but she also loves fashion as much as the next girl. The star has recently teamed up with Colgate Optic White and revealed to us some of her favorite tips to rocking the red carpet like a pro.
First, call a stylist. "Not everyone can work with a stylist, but I personally love working with one because I don’t always have the eye for it and you can get an outside view."
Second, keep a tailor on speed dial! "Have a really good tailor because I’m really short and I always have to have things adjusted."
Third, don’t let fear keep you from wearing what you want. "Be willing to take a risk, but don’t feel uncomfortable and just being confident."
Last but not least, don’t forget to smile. "Your smile is your biggest accessory!"
