Tom Hiddleston’s Christmas gift may be the best thing ever.

In a new 39-second video posted to YouTube on Tuesday, the 33-year-old British star sings the classic holiday tune, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” accompanied by the most adorable puppy sitting on his lap!

The video was posted by Joanne Gardner, who explains that the footage was filmed in country singer Rodney Crowell’s Nashville studio “during a short break” as he and Tom worked on the soundtrack for the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light.

The dog on Tom’s lap? Rodney’s “wonder dog, Mono”!

“From Nashville to… points back east,” Rodney says as Tom, in a deep Southern drawl for his Hank Williams role, chuckles at his friend’s reference to his native England.
