'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play...

Finally, the "Shake It Off" cover to end all covers has arrived.

(Not really. We are sure there will be plenty more covers, but this one is our favorite so far.)

Charli XCX gave Taylor Swift's hit single the punk rock treatment during a performance in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. Together with her all-female band, Charli injects the track with her signature flare and makes us fall in love with the track all over again. Watch below.

And it looks like Swift approves! The singer showed her support by re-tweeting a Rolling Stone article about the "raucous cover."

Turns out, Swift is a fan of the "Sucker" singer. In a Tumblr post for a heartbroken fan, Swift named Charli's "Stay Away" as a key song on a custom-made breakup playlist.

So, what would it take to get these two in the studio together? Swift may still be riding high on 1989's 11th (yes, 11th!) week at No. 1, but she's already gearing up to record new music. Kanye West revealed on Wednesday that after the two buried the hatchet at the GRAMMYs, he and Swift have made plans to collaborate on new music.

Charli, better get on that!
