Legendary blues musician B.B. King was hospitalized with a minor heart attack on Thursday and may be a victim of elder abuse, TMZ reports.

The website claims that King's daughter Patty called police after King’s manager Laverne Toney, who has power of attorney over the musician, refused to hospitalize him after his health took a turn for the worse. The police agreed that the 89-year-old King needed to be checked out by medical professionals and Patty claims that hospital staff told her that King suffered a minor heart attack.

According to TMZ, Patty King also filed a police report last November accusing Toney of elder abuse, withholding her father’s medications, and stealing millions of dollars in cash and jewelry from the blues legend. No charges have yet been filed in the case.

A message on King’s personal website reads: "I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas. Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers."
