You hear that, Little Monsters?
New music is on the way from Lady Gaga, who confirmed backstage at Sunday's Golden Globes that her long-awaited ARTPOP follow-up will street at some point in 2016.
"I am putting out an album this year," Gaga told reporters in the press room. "I won't tell you when, but it is coming out this year."
The 29-year-old is keeping tight-lipped on the aesthetic of her next project, but it seems safe to say that her label is pleased with her progress! Top brass from Interscope Records gifted the singer with a white horse
over the holidays.
Gaga took home a Golden Globe trophy on Sunday for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. Backstage, the star opened up about the impact that gig has had on her musical process.
"It reminded me that in my own life and in my music, at times I play a character and I become them fully," she said. "The Countess just couldn’t care less, she's lived too long and knows too much to be bothered by a thing. I'm a little bit different than that, but I will say that I think that confidence will stay with me."
"With my music and my position in the world," she continued, "I only hope to give back as much to my fans and to the universe as they have given to me through my work and through my life."
Gaga recently revealed that there was a time she almost quit the music biz. Find out why in the video below.
