Gaga took home a Golden Globe trophy on Sunday for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. Backstage, the star opened up about the impact that gig has had on her musical process.

"It reminded me that in my own life and in my music, at times I play a character and I become them fully," she said. "The Countess just couldn’t care less, she's lived too long and knows too much to be bothered by a thing. I'm a little bit different than that, but I will say that I think that confidence will stay with me."

"With my music and my position in the world," she continued, "I only hope to give back as much to my fans and to the universe as they have given to me through my work and through my life."
