Blake Shelton and Angry Birds make for one charming collaboration.

The 39-year-old Voice mentor is the voice of a country-boy pig named Earl in the upcoming The Angry Birds Movie, and also wrote the song "Friends" with singer Jessi Alexander for the soundtrack. The "Friends" music video dropped on Friday, and it's every bit as adorable as you would expect.

Shelton sings in the studio and shares some screen time with his playful co-stars in the feel-good video, obviously enjoying himself.

ET chatted with Shelton last month, when he dished about his Angry Birds role.

"I went in for this meeting to play this pig Earl, and they had a picture of my proposed character on the big screen TV when I walked in," he told ET exclusively. "It was this pig that had on a cowboy hat and he had my tattoo on his arm, he's got like a vest, cowboy boots, and a guitar, he's a country singer. And it was like, 'OK, I don't even know what you're about to say to me, but I'll do it. I'm in!'"

"Music was the main thing that I brought to the table," he added. "The song ["Friends"] is a very pivotal point in the movie. When you see it, you'll understand. ... It's so much fun! I mean, I never dreamed that I would have that much fun writing a song for a project like that. We did and I couldn't be more excited about it."

The Angry Birds Movie
hits theaters on May 20.
