Britney Spears Announces Release Date for 'Glory' Album: 'The Beginning of a New Era'

Britney, baby, one more time!

What a glorious day!

Britney Spears took to Twitter with a bombshell announcement on Wednesday morning, revealing that her new album, Glory, will be available for pre-order at midnight, and available on Apple Music on Aug. 26.

"#Glory. My new album & the beginning of a new era. Available 8/26 on @AppleMusic," the 34-year-old singer wrote. "Pre-order tonight at midnight ET."

Britney also tweeted, "Pre-order #Glory and get #PrivateShow instantly."

In addition to the music news, Jimmy Kimmel revealed on Twitter on Wednesday that Britney and Rihanna were teaming up in some way on his show, writing, "Pranked in my sleep again. @BritneySpears & @Rihanna must be working together. See it on #Kimmel tonight #SneakPeek."

Rihanna has previously pranked Jimmy in his sleep, which is likely what the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host was referring to, but fingers crossed we get some collaboration news as well!

This will be Britney's ninth studio album, with the first eight having gone platinum worldwide. The singer dropped her most recent single, "Make Me," featuring G-Eazy, in July.

Meanwhile, all the "Work B**ch" Britney has been doing on her new album may have made her forget that she's actually met Taylor Swift, not just once, but two times in the past!
