Lorde Warms Up for Coachella With a Surprise Desert Performance

Lorde is ready to rock Coachella -- after a warm-up gig, that is.

The 20-year-old singer prepared for her first concert in nearly two and half years with a surprise concert in Pioneertown, California, on Friday.

Lorde, who is expected at Coachella on Sunday, warmed up at Pappy and Harriet's, just 50 miles from the festival's grounds -- in a completely sold-out performance.

The singer performed "Green Light" and a few more of her brand new songs for the first time live.

Whether or not Lorde kills it at Coachella, she's definitely got a fan in Taylor Swift. In fact, the 27-year-old singer has already praised her friend's new music, calling her new track, "Green Light," a "magnificent pop for the ages."
