Denise Richards clears up some rumors of what happened to her ex-husband Charlie Sheen early Tuesday morning when he was taken to the hospital after spending a few days with Richards and their daughters at New York City's Plaza Hotel.
"I wasn't screaming or freaking out. I did not call 911," Richards told "Today Show" hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb of the reports. "Other than that, the details that went on in the room ... I prefer to keep private and personal. ... If Charlie wants to discuss it then I'll let him do it."
Denise explained that Charlie came along to spend time with Sam, 6, and Lola, 5, as it was their first time in New York City. "My daughters are very unaware of what happened and I'm really trying to protect them," she explained, saying that the girls have not seen the news reports.
The "Blue Mountain State" actress followed that up by commenting on Sheen, saying, "I have a lot of faith in my ex, and I'm concerned about our children and my concern is to keep them protected."
