Princess Diana's Brother Earl Spencer on Prince William's Engagement

Earl Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, has released a statement, revealing how Prince William's late mother would feel about his engagement to Kate Middleton.

"I can't help thinking how thrilled Diana would have been, to see her son so deeply happy, with a woman he so clearly adores," said Spencer.

After eight years of courting, Prince William proposed to his longtime girlfriend in October while vacationing in Kenya.

The couple's royal wedding is expected to take place next year.
