ETonline's Nicole Dabeau traded quips with America's hottest comedians at Variety's Power of Comedy event on Saturday in Los Angeles.
"I'm really astonished and incredibly flattered," said honoree Russell Brand, who was honored by Variety for his contributions to comedy this year. Ticket sales benefited the Noreen Fraser Foundation.
When put on the spot to tell a "funny joke" Brand responded, "I'm not that sort of comedian. What this is about is men for women now, for men to help women be aware of their boobs."
Nicole showed Russell a twitpic of her and Katy Perry making duck faces at the GRAMMY nominations concert.
"That's definitely the woman I've married," the comedian confirmed.
Later, Nicole took more duck face twitpics with comedienne Sarah Silverman.
Aziz Ansari laughed it up with Nicole on the green carpet and spilled some little known secrets about Russell: "What people don't know about Russell is that he's Asain," said Aziz, suggesting that Russell has been faking his British accent. "In reality he's a five- foot-four Korean man."
After asking several comedians to tell her a joke, Nicole finally got one to oblige - "The Office"'s B.J. Novack. B.J. told the first joke he ever wrote as a stand-up comedian, saying, "Battered women sounds delicious - doesn't make it right."
