Chef Guy Fieri, host of "Guy's Big Bite" on Food Network, is with M&Ms star Red to talk about holiday decorations, presents and, of course, yuletide treats. Watch the video!
"'Guy's Big Bite' is about big flavor, my friends and my family and having a good time," Guy tells Red. "The Nor Cal Cioppino is one of my favorite dishes during the holiday time."
The dish features spicy tomato broth, delicious crab, clams, shrimp and more.

Nor Cal Cioppino

¼ cup olive oil
4 cups yellow onions diced
1 ½ cups fennel, sliced thin
1 cup red bell pepper, chopped
½ cup garlic, minced
In a large stockpot over medium heat, add oil, when hot, add onion, fennel and bell peppers and sauté until lightly browned. Add garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes more and add following ingredients:
1 ½ cups red wine
6 cups tomato sauce, San Marzano recommended
½ cup tomato paste
½ cup clam juice
¼ cup lemon, juice
4 cups water
2 bay leaves
2 tablespoons red chili flakes
1 tablespoon oregano, dry
1 tablespoon basil, dry
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon pepper, black, freshly cracked
1 ounce Sambuca liquor
Combine with sautéed vegetables and simmer for one hour.
4 lbs. Dungeness crab, whole, cooked, cleaned, cracked and broken into 4 pieces each.
1 cup Italian parsley, coarsely chopped
Add to sauce and let simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
2 lbs. clams, cleaned and scrubbed
Add to sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes, then add in:
2 lbs. White fish, firm, tilapia, cod, cut into 2" pieces
Cook 4-5 minutes, to finish add:
2 lbs. shrimp, shell on, deveined (21-25)
Let cook 3-4 minutes until shrimp is pink and cooked, serve immediately with fresh bread.
