In her first official public appearance since checking out of Betty Ford, Lindsay Lohan was sitting courtside Sunday night at the Staples Center as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the New York Knicks. Was the native Long Islander rooting for her hometown or is the Hollywood starlet a west coast gal now?

It turns out you can take the girl out of New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl. She tweeted from the hardwood, "Kobe [Bryant] sent me #lakers hats [because] I'm wearing Knicks. I'm from NY!!! Gotta stay loyal!"

The king of the court gifted Lindsay with three Lakers caps. She posted a Twitpic of her present, followed up by a second tweet with her Knicks hat perched on top, tweeting, "Good luck to BOTH teams! #onelove. I said if Lakers win, I'll come to a game with a Laker hat!"

Lindsay's ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson sided with LiLo's team, tweeting, "Let's go Knicks. I think the Knicks are jet lagged. They're getting sleepy right now- someone wake 'em up!!!"

After the final buzzer, the Lakers won 109-87. Samantha tried to lift Lindsay's spirits, posting on the actress' Twitter page, "They played well though."
