Kat Von D and Jesse James, a perfect pairing made in biker bar heaven, have just announced they're engaged.
In a rather bold statement to People.com downplaying the sex scandal that ended his marriage to Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock, Jesse says, "You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs." He goes on to lavish the tattoo artist with compliments, adding, "I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f----n' blast!"
"There is no one else for me," Kat tells the magazine. "He's the one." The two will reportedly have homes in Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.
The couple began dating last summer after Jesse's divorce.
