Nicole Kidman is speaking out about the pain she had to endure during her high-profile breakup with Tom Cruise.
"I was really damaged and not sure whether that was ever going to happen again to me," the actress tells Marie Claire UK. However, she also tells the magazine in an interview that she still has positive memories about the good times with Cruise: "That was a great relationship. It was great," she said. "I think it ran its course."
Kidman, 43, acknowledged there were some sacrifices to be made to be Mrs. Tom Cruise. "I was never seeking to be a celebrity. But I was prepared to do that for love. And that is something that is hard to do. It's hard when you're young. But I'm ready to give up anything for love, because ultimately, that is what you have."
On her current husband Keith Urban, Kidman tells the magazine she's "crazy in love." She adds: "I think you can live anywhere and do anything when you're crazy in love."
The family currently lives in Tennessee with their two daughters, two-year-old Sunday Rose and newborn Faith Margaret and Kidman says she doesn't regret the move from Hollywood. "I'm very driven by falling in love. I fall in love and I'll drop everything and change everything."
Kidman's most recent child came via surrogate, but she tells Marie Claire that she never before thought she'd be a mother at the age she had Sunday Rose. "I certainly never thought I'd have a baby at 41. But we never know what's around the corner."
