Tiger Woods Slapped with a Fine by the European Tour

February 15, 2011Tiger Woods has been battling to reclaim the title of the world's highest ranked golfer that he lost last year, but on Sunday Woods took a small step in the wrong direction.
ESPN.com reports that the golfer, who suffers from allergies, paid a fine for spitting on the putting green at the Dubai Desert Classic.
"The Euro Tour is right - it was inconsiderate to spit like that and I know better," Woods tweeted on Monday. "Just wasn't thinking and want to say I'm sorry,"
Woods finished the competition in 20th place. The amount of the fine has not been disclosed.
