Frankie Muniz's publicist is denying a report that the actor held a gun to his head and roughed up his girlfriend during a recent argument.

"Frankie and Elycia [Marie] had an argument a few days ago. The police were called to the residence. A gun played no part in the argument and was voluntarily given to the police for safekeeping," publicist Lauren Tobin tells ET in a statement.

"There were no bruises and neither left the residence. He was not suicidal. She was not assaulted. They have been together since the incident; are still together and are moving forward with their lives and with their relationship," the statement adds.

Celebrity website TMZ published a story quoting a police report as saying Elycia claimed to officers that Frankie had held the gun to his head during the domestic dispute.
