'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe chatted with ET following his opening night performance in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway Sunday, reminiscing about the simpler time in which the story is set.

"It's kind of fun to be playing someone who is so shamelessly ambitious," said Daniel, who plays the opportunistic J. Pierpont Finch in the stage production. "It's from a much more innocent time in the history of the U.S. and the world... It was a time when there was no shame in being this ambitious."

Daniel's Broadway debut was in Peter Shaffer's Equus, a play which famously called for the actor to be nude on stage for a portion of the story, and Daniel admitted that this new production was a welcome change of pace, especially for the young fan base that might know him from the 'Harry Potter' movies.

"It's a great show and I think everyone can kind of enjoy it," Daniel said. "It's nice, as well, to be doing something that is suitable for everybody so that everyone can come and see it."
