"The Biggest Loser" star Jillian Michaels is known for her hard-nosed approach to staying fit and losing weight on her reality show. In the May issue of Shape magazine, which hits stands Monday, the personal trainer reveals more about her past struggles.
"I was 12 when my parents divorced," Jillian explains. "I had been a chubby kid anyway, but that was when I hit 175 pounds-and I was only 5 feet tall."
Since then, and after a well timed intervention in the form of martial arts classes, Jillian has been driven to stay and keep herself and others in shape. It would come as some surprise to hear the next few words come out her mouth.
"I don't like to exercise," Jillian says.
Now as blasphemous as that sounds, the vibrant fitness vixen goes on to explain her stance. "Let's face it, there are plenty of other things we'd all rather be doing. I know how good I'm going to feel when I'm finished, so I make myself do it, but I like to get in and get out."
