Nicolas Cage Not to be Charged

Nicolas Cage will reportedly not face charges related to his April arrest in New Orleans.

The actor's lawyer Harry Rosenberg told People.com, "The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him."

"After their investigation, the DAs refused all charges against Nick and the matter has been closed," the lawyer said.

Rosenberg added: "We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped."

Cage was arrested on April 16 in New Orleans after an alleged altercation with his wife Alice. After officers were called to the scene of the argument between himself and his wife, Cage allegedly taunted officers to arrest him, and they apparently obliged, as Cage was arrested on one count of domestic abuse and one count of disturbing the peace. At the time of the arrest, Cage was in New Orleans working on a new film titled 'Medallion.'
