Katie Couric's New Show Announcement Expected Monday

On Monday June 6, 2011 Disney and ABC are expected to announce Katie Couric as the host for their new daytime talk show which will go into production in September 2012.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Couric's new show will be produced by former NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker and has been described as "interview-centric with human interest stories," similar to what Couric did while on "Today."

The show is expected to be produced 39 weeks of the year, with rerun episodes broadcast on the remaining weeks.
