'Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition''s Alex and Dana Talk About Their Love Lives

ET recently sat down with "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition"'s Alex Respess and Dana Baker after both their emotional episodes aired, and in addition to talking about losing an incredible amount of weight on the show, they also chatted about their love lives.

Alex admitted that he was in fact dating "The Biggest Loser"'s Courtney Crozier, but would only comment that they've been on "a couple of dates" and that they'll see "where it goes."

For his part, Dana said that he was still a "bachelor," but also talked about how coming out on the show helped him lose over 200 pounds.

"That was the problem, that was the reason I gained the weight," Dana says. "I didn't want to deal with that over there, that white elephant in the living room so I ran to the food."

These days, both are keeping the weight off with the help of smart lifestyle choices. Alex reveals that rather than following a "diet" he has changed mentally as well as physically, and allows himself one "cheat day" a week. Dana has joined "Overeaters Anonymous," and encourages others struggling with their weight to also do so, praising the program for helping him work through the emotional issues involved with his overeating.

Both praised "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" for changing their lives, and bit back at the show's critics who claim the show gives viewers false hope and that they don't work for the vast majority of viewers.

"If you were in the shoes of someone who was overweight you probably wouldn't be saying that so maybe you shouldn't say anything," Dana says of the show's critics. "How can you criticize someone losing weight? I don't understand that."
