Lindsay Lohan is a free bird. ET confirms that the embattled star was released from home confinement on Wednesday morning.

The star was freed 35 days after she began serving her sentence for a probation violation, and her electronic monitoring bracelet was also removed from her ankle, according to the Los Angeles County sheriff.

Lindsay was initially sentenced in May to 120 days in jail after she entered a no contest plea to stealing a necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store in January, but due to jail overcrowding and state rules that allow for credit for good behavior for prisoners, Lindsay ended up doing five weeks in home confinement.
