Maria Shriver has filed for divorce from her husband of 25 years, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Shriver cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

According to the documents, filed in Los Angeles on Friday, Maria is asking for spousal support and for Arnold to pay her attorney's fees, and requesting that the judge deny spousal support to Arnold. She is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.

Shriver is asking for assets to be divided at some point in the future.

Shriver and Schwarzenegger have been separated since May, shortly before news broke that Schwarzenegger had fathered a child with their housekeeper, Mildred Baena, during their marriage.
