The Rugged Royals: Prince William and Kate Middleton Conquer the Canadian Wilderness

Prince William and Kate Middleton continued their tour of Canada by visiting the Northwest Territories yesterday, taking a canoe ride to Blachford Lake, sampling local cuisine and meeting members of the 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, reservists who patrol Canada's desolate northwest.

Kate proved her strength throughout the day, pulling her weight as the couple rowed to Blachford Lake alongside Northwest Territories Indian Brotherhood Chief Francois Paulette. Sporting a laid-back look befitting of the Canadian wilderness, Kate still managed to look stylish in a pair of skinny cropped jeans and a tan shirt. She even changed into a ranger sweatshirt later in the day to show her appreciation to the Ranger Patrol Group, who made her an honorary ranger, and presented both her and Prince William with official Canadian ranger sweaters.

After their tour of Canada, the couple will spend a few days in the United States.

Check out the video to see Prince William, ever the gentleman and obviously still basking in the newlywed glow, help his wife Kate tie her sweater.
