The Idaho senator pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct after he was arrested in a gay sex sting in a men's restroom at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. He had maintained his innocence despite initially pleading guilty and said the incident was a just a misunderstanding. He decided not resign his seat, but did not seek reelection when his term ended in 2008.
