Sarah Michelle Gellar got her start on "All My Children" when she played Erica Kane's spoiled daughter Kendall in 1992. And now, like many other stars who got their start on soaps (Josh Duhamel, for example), Gellar will be returning for a one-off episode before the show ends its historic run!

"I can officially confirm that I will be doing a guest spot," Gellar announced at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, where she was promoting her new CW show "Ringer." "When I heard that the show was canceled I didn't understand. It just doesn’t make sense to me. So, I called Judy Wilson, who is the casting director and has been since I was there, and I said I wanted to do something."

But there is a caveat, Gellar won't be returning in the role she won a Daytime Emmy for. "I don't want to be Kendall, that's Alica [Minshew]'s role," she said. "I have no idea what I'm going to be doing."
