New Mom Kate Hudson, Half-Naked and Happy

Va va voom! Half-naked and looking sultry in a sexy spread for Elle magazine, happy new mom Kate Hudson opens up about life on the move and her new jewelry venture.

"Most relationships I've had in my life have been with people who travel quite a bit for work," says Kate, who is engaged to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. "I don't know if I'm attracted to that specifically, but it is nice to be with somebody who understands having to be on the move."

Joining older brother Ryder (Kate's son with ex-Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes), Kate and Matt welcomed a baby boy, Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy, last month. She was nearly nine months along when she shot the new Elle spread, in which she sports jewelry from her new collection, CH+KH. The collection is a collaboration with Kate's friend Laurie Lynn Stark, co-owner of the L.A.-based jewelry brand Chrome Hearts, and the choices reflect Kate's free-spirit attitude.

The line skews stylistically along some of the '70s vintage pieces that Kate collects, including an heirloom choker given to her on her 21st birthday by mom Goldie Hawn.

Kate says she turns to her famous mom for guidance when she's feeling "off balance," saying, "We've definitely had lots of talks about parenting and being a working mom. She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom, though. My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. I hope that I can do as good a job."

The new issue of Elle hits newsstands August 16.
