Anyone who watched The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills knows that Russell Armstrong was not the most outgoing of all the House husbands, but even still, news of his suicide came as a total shock. But were there clues that Armstrong was finding his new life in the public eye too tough to bear?
Last month, he spoke with RumorFix about his impending divorce with wife Taylor Armstrong and may have dropped a few hints that seem to shed a little light on this morning's news. "The pressure of being in the TV spotlight was pretty overwhelming," he told the site. "It took our manageable problems and made them worse." He also said, "This is a devastating time" but didn't want to give anyone the impression the two had gone from lovers to bitter enemies. "We had a wonderful marriage. We have a beautiful five-year-old daughter who we both love. We are very supportive of each other and love each other. I will support her as best I can moving forward.”
Russell Armstrong was found dead of an apparent suicide at a Los Angeles-area home at 8:08 p.m. last night.
