Lady Gaga Covers 'Harper's Bazaar' Makeup-Free

Harper's Bazaar

Although she's known for her incredible physical transformations via extreme hair and makeup, Lady Gaga chose to pose barefaced on Harper Bazaar's October cover, essentially saying "I was born THIS way."

But in true Gaga fashion, she insists that the striking transformation isn't more "natural" to her at all.

"I don’t really view it as 'natural,'" she explains. "I think that artifice is the new reality. It's more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I'm wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside."

Gaga gets candid in the interview, revealing that she has been a free-spirit since she hatched from that egg.

"Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy," she recalls.

And how does she keep her incredibly toned body in tip-top shape? Aside from of course eating healthy and exercising, she shares that it's her work ethic that can take the credit.

"You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard."

The October issue of Harper's Bazaar hits newsstands September 27th.
