Looks like there could be trouble on the dance floor for Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- the controversial dancer tweeted early today that he has a broken toe.

"One thing that could make this Halloween weekend better -- NOT having a broken toe!," Maks tweeted.

The injury comes on the heels of Monday night's heated episode, where he snapped back at Len Goodman after the outspoken judge criticized his rumba with partner Hope Solo.

Adding fuel to the fire, on an appearance on Wednesday's Good Morning America, he refused to apologize for his harsh comment that maybe it was time for the 67-year-old judge "to get out of the business."

"I have nothing to apologize for to Len, and certainly not to Carrie Ann. She can make all the faces she wants," he said, referring to judge Carrie Ann Inaba who scolded him for being "rude".

But what could this latest setback mean for Maks and Hope going forward? Guess we'll have to wait until next Monday's show to see if the injury will affect the couple's fiercely debated dancing skills!
