'The Situation' Suing Abercrombie Over Campaign

It's been almost three months to the day since clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch infamously offered a "substantial payment" to Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino to stop him from wearing their clothes, and now 'The Situation' is fighting back at A&F with a lawsuit.

Filed Tuesday, the lawsuit alleges the company wrongfully profited off of the reality star's famous name which, since 2009, has been under the protection of copyright law. The complaint claims Abercrombie "significantly profited off of the use of its false affiliation with Sorrentino, and it has wrongly used Sorrentino's name, image and likeness for advertising purposes in violation of applicable law."

With A&F selling T-shirts with the phrases "The Fitchuation" and "GTL...You Know The Deal," 'The Situation' says there's no doubt the brand was aiming to make money by associating his name with their clothes.

Additionally, the suit claims Abercrombie never approached 'The Situation' with an offer before embarking on a mean-spirited ad campaign, explaining that a deal "was never made to Sorrentino, nor was it ever conveyed to Sorrentino by a representative."
