Demi Moore made it known that she would be divorcing Ashton Kutcher after six years of marriage. The actress told ET, "As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life." Kutcher took to Twitter to express his feelings on the sudden news. "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi," he tweeted. "Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK"

Gayle King, Oprah's best friend, announced that she will be leaving the OWN network to join a new CBS morning show. Folks from CBS announced that King will join Charlie Rose and Erica Hill in a new program that will replace the Early Show. A rep for OWN delivered a statement expressing their well wishes to ET, stating, "We are so happy for Gayle's opportunity of a lifetime. She'll be a fantastic host for the new morning show on CBS and we wish her all the best. Although her show will not continue on OWN, we look forward to her joining us from time-to-time as her schedule allows."

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner called off their engagement earlier this week after originally getting engaged in August, according to the actress' publicist. There has been no word of the reason why they called it off and they still remain a couple.

15-year-old The X Factor contestant Astro narrowly avoided elimination on Thursday's episode, but gave the judges some lip due to appearing in the bottom two for the first time. "No disrespect to you or this show," said Astro, wiping tears from his cheeks. "But I just feel like if you're going to put me in the bottom two, I don't want to perform for people who don't want me here."

Regis Philbin's last day on Live! With Regis & Kelly turned out to be an emotional one as the heavily tenured television personality couldn't hold back tears, yet found time to deliver a somber farewell. "Some people ask why has the show stayed on so long and I think it's answered to me every time people tell me why they watch it," he said. "They watch it they say because it makes them feel better. And it can't get better than that. It makes them happy, and I'll never be able to top that."
