A grand jury has indicted the husband of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice on charges that he fraudulently obtained a New Jersey driver's license.

Authorities said the indictment handed down Tuesday charges 40-year-old Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice with one count of wrongfully using identifying information of another -- punishable by up to 10 years in prison -- and one count of impersonation, which carries a maximum 18-month sentence.

The indictment alleges that Joe Giudice submitted to the state's Department of Motor Vehicles identifying information that belonged to his brother Pietro Giudice -- including a marriage and birth certificate -- to obtain a driver's license. Joe's driver's license was suspended at the time following a 2010 DUI arrest.

The reality star couple also filed for bankruptcy in 2011, but withdrew the filing earlier this year.
