John Legend Gets Engaged

Singer John Legend used the Christmas holiday to get engaged to his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen.

The Grammy Award winner popped the question while the couple was vacationing together in Maldives, Legend's rep tells People magazine.

Legend -- who celebrates his 33rd birthday tomorrow -- has been dating Teigen since 2007. She is best known for being a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. 

Legend is scheduled to perform at the Palms in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.
