Kelsey Grammer on Hosting the DGAs

If audiences were worried that Kelsey Grammer had lost his comedy chops after taking on his dramatic role in the Starz series Boss, they can put their fears to rest. The actor had the audience in stitches while hosting the Directors Guild Awards on Saturday.

Despite Kelsey's esteemed comedy resume, which includes Cheers and Frasier, he remained modest about his entertaining abilities while chatting with ET's Chris Jacobs on the red carpet.

"I'll be the host with enough, hopefully," said Kelsey, as opposed to the "host with the most". "I'm going to make it quick and, I hope, pleasant."

Thankfully, all that modesty went away when Kelsey took the stage, presenting jokes like this: "Since we have a room full of directors, the actor in me wants to make sure that you get my good side. Unfortunately, the podium is blocking your view."
