The Los Angeles Coroner said in a press conference Sunday that an autopsy has been concluded on Whitney Houston, but that results are pending toxicology results, which could take up to six to eight weeks.
Coroner Ed Winter also revealed that the investigation into Houston's death is ongoing, and said that Beverly Hills requested that a security hold be put on the case, so there will be no additional information released as far as what was discovered in the room or any details of that nature.
He said there were no visible signs of trauma or foul play, and that when it comes to the possibility that Houston committed suicide, they are looking at all aspects.
Since the cause of death has been deferred, Whitney's family is free to pick up her body and proceed with funeral arrangements. Winter also denied that Whitney's daughter Bobby Kristina was barred from seeing her mother's body.
