A funeral service for Whitney Houston will he held Saturday in the New Jersey church where she first showcased her musical talent as a child.
The owner of Whigham Funeral Home in Newark said Tuesday the service will take place at noon Saturday at the city's New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral will be by invitation only and no public viewing is scheduled.
ET confirmed on Monday that Houston's body was flown to New Jersey aboard a private plane owned by actor/director Tyler Perry and that Dionne Warwick flew aboard the aircraft that carried the body of her cousin.
The 48-year-old pop icon died Saturday at the Beverly Hills Hilton hotel just hours before she was to appear at producer Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy Awards party.
An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, but no cause of death has been determined pending the results of toxicology reports that are expected to take several weeks. Authorities have said there were no indications of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma when they examined Houston's body.
