Jessica Alba: I'm Not Perfect

As an accomplished movie star, wife and mother of two, Jessica Alba may seem like she has it all figured out, but the 30-year-old beauty admits she's not "perfect" and just starting to get the hang of adulthood.

Jessica Alba on Choosing Baby Names

"I feel like I've finally come into my own and become the person I always should have been, or that I always wanted to be," Alba tells L.A. Confidential magazine, crediting the birth of her daughters, Honor Marie, 3, and Haven Garner, 6 months, for kick-starting this major turning point in her life.

"I feel more grounded, free and comfortable in my own skin than I ever have. The paradigm just shifted completely to my family," she says. "I didn't even know it was possible to have this much love and joy and happiness in my life. It's overflowing, unconditional and selfless. I never experienced that type of thing before I had kids."

With the arrival of her first girl, Honor, Alba says she was faced with an unexpected bump in the road-- providing safe and responsible products for her new bundle of joy.

"When I (was pregnant for the first time) and started shopping in stores and online, it was horrific seeing all these toxic chemicals (in baby products), which can contribute to everything from cancer to autism."

Having the means to help herself as well as other new moms find eco-friendly baby products, Jessica founded the website Honest.com.

"I wanted to come up with one brand people could trust. You can have baby items that are cute and eco-friendly, with delivery right to your door."
