A Day at ET with EP Linda Bell Blue

CBS Watch

Entertainment Tonight Executive Producer Linda Bell Blue calls the shots from her office adjacent to the ET newsroom on the CBS Studios lot in Studio City, CA, and now she's featured in the April issue of CBS Watch alongside her beloved boxer, Duke.

"I consider myself the luckiest woman in the world," Linda tells the magazine with her trademark boundless energy.

Hollywood's Most Powerful Women

The spread details a typical day at ET, starting with the 5:15 a.m. conference call with the New York office to figure out the biggest entertainment news of the day; then comes assigning stories; marathon meetings; red-carpet events; and scandals in-between to deconstruct.

"It's the world's greatest job – I absolutely love it – but it is not glamorous," says Linda -- also the Executive Producer of The Insider -- who is up at 4 a.m. every weekday and asleep by 8:30 p.m. Rather than call co-workers staffers or employees, Linda considers them family.

ET's Complete Royal Wedding Coverage

Linda also talks about two of ET's most memorable stories --the Anna Nicole Smith saga and William and Kate's royal wedding; and raves about Nancy O'Dell, who took over the ET anchor post from Mary Hart last May. "It was a seamless transition," says Linda. "Nancy is one of the hardest-working women I've ever met, and I just adore her."
