Charlize Says Mommyhood is 'Incredible'

Charlize Theron and co-star Michael Fassbender hit the WonderCon convention in Anaheim, CA Saturday to talk up their exciting new sci-fi movie Prometheus, and new mom Charlize told ET that the experience of being a parent is "overwhelmingly incredible."

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the 36-year-old Oscar winner had adopted a baby boy named Jackson, and she told ET that every day there is always something new.

Because of the adoption journey that she decided to follow, she said that it's evident that she really wanted to be a mom, and she is "really overjoyed and very happy that it all worked out."

So how did she keep it a secret? Charlize credited her "really good friends", saying, "It's not me. It's who you decide to tell -- and then it's them not telling."

When asked by co-star Michael, "Why is everyone congratulating you?" Charlize joked, "Haven't you heard? I got a new puppy."
