Ashton Kutcher the astronaut? This will soon be a reality, as the Two and a Half Men star has just become Virgin Galactic's 500th customer.
The company's billionaire founder, Sir Richard Branson, made the announcement today in a blog post, writing, "I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself."
According to the Virgin Galactic website, it costs $200,000 for a round-trip ticket -- an affordable price for the actor who is worth $140 million, according to MSNBC.com.
This news follows rumors that Jay-Z and Beyonce hope to be the first artists to shoot a music video in space. MTV.com reports that record execs have already started looking into the possibility of using one of Virgin's Galactic crafts for the venture.
