Bobby Brown has been formally charged with three misdemeanor offenses following the troubled singer's DUI arrest on Monday.

Originally pulled over by the California Highway Patrol for talking on a cell phone, Whitney Houston's ex faces charges of driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence and having a .08 or greater blood alcohol level at the time of his arrest on the afternoon of the 26th.

Each offense carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail with a possible fine of a $1000 per offense.
