Announced on weekend Today, former Alaska governor and Fox News Channel correspondent Sarah Palin will join Matt Lauer and Ann Curry at the newsdesk this week as a guest co-host.

Coincidentally, former Today show co-host Katie Couric will mark her return to the breakfast hour this week to host Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos while Robin Roberts is away. Couric shared an infamous interview with the former Vice Presidential candidate which many credit to the downfall of the McCain campaign in 2008.

Palin joins an all-star lineup of celebrities stopping by Studio 1A including Kim Kardashian, the Duggars, Tori Spelling Giuliana Rancic and Nicki Minaj, who will perform live.
